Thank you for visiting our website.

The Yolo County Veterans Memorial Project is an attempt to document in book form the lives and military service of veterans who died in World Wars I, II, the Korean War, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. It is scheduled for publication in 2009.

We are looking for information, remembrances, pictures, or other pertinent items from family members of the veterans as well as childhood friends, people who served with them and anyone else who might have known them.

Anything can help us in documenting this essential part of Yolo County history. Please look at the veterans list and contact us with any information or general questions you may have.

Also, please visit the about the project section to learn more about our mission.

Updates

06/01/08- The Veterans Project is featured in today's Davis Enterprise. Bios are up for the veterans noted in the article as having family members we are unable to find.

 Please also note:

The article mentions Medard Tafoya, a World War II veteran. However, it does not include the medals that Tafoya received. Mr. Tafoya received the Air Medal and two Purple Hearts for his courageous actions.
